Uses of Industrial Sulfur

Industrial sulfur is an important chemical product and basic industrial raw material, widely used in chemical, light industry, pesticide, rubber, dye, papermaking, new energy, environmental protection and other industrial fields. Food sulfur can be used for antiseptic, insecticide, bleaching, fumigation, etc. in the food industry, and can also be used to soften corn and other raw materials in the starch industry. The following are its main use classifications and specific application scenarios:
Industrial use

1. Chemical raw materials

Produce sulfuric acid (industrial basic chemicals), dyes, fireworks and rubber products (such as tires, hoses, etc.). As a rubber vulcanizer, it enhances the wear resistance and strength of rubber. Insoluble sulfur is an important raw material for radial tires.

2. Other industrial applications

Used in papermaking, steel pickling, water treatment, catalysts, pigments and sulfur concrete, etc.

Agricultural use

1. Pesticides and soil improvement

Prevent and control plant diseases (such as powdery mildew, rust) and pests, and can also adjust soil pH and improve soil texture.

Used to soften corn and other raw materials in the starch industry.

Medical and cosmetic uses

1. Skin treatment

Treats skin diseases such as scabies, acne, and psoriasis, and relieves symptoms through anti-e bacteria and anti-inflammatory effects.

2. Auxiliary treatment of the respiratory system

Used in traditional medicine to relieve symptoms such as asthma and chronic bronchitis.

3. Beauty products

Added to cleaning products such as sulfur soap and shampoo to control oil and exfoliate.

Other fields

1. Military and blasting

Manufacture of gunpowder, explosives and firecrackers.

2. Food industry (restricted use)

Sulfur fumigation can be used for bleaching or preservation.

3. New energy field
In the field of new energy, sulfur is used to manufacture key materials for high-performance batteries and components of fuel cells due to its unique chemical properties.

4. Environmental protection field
In the field of environmental protection, sulfur also plays an important role and can be used in the production of wastewater treatment agents. This cross-field diversified application has opened up new development paths and growth points for the sulfur industry.
