Due to some production requirements, sulfur will be made into different shapes, such as powder, granules, blocks, etc. Today, let’s talk about several main factors that affect the formation of sulfur granulation.
The distance between the material temperature before sulfur granulation and its own melting point or softening point temperature will directly affect the production capacity of the granulation device. The higher the temperature, the smaller the output. The solution is to perform heat exchange treatment on the material before granulation, so as to give full play to the production capacity of the granulator.
The parameters that affect the formation of sulfur particles caused by sulfur mainly include melting point, specific gravity, heat transfer coefficient, specific heat, crystallization characteristics, viscosity and liquid surface tension. Viscosity and surface tension mainly affect the molding quality of granulated products; while other parameters mainly affect the cooling and solidification speed of the material, thereby affecting its output. Generally, the viscosity of the material will decrease with the increase of temperature. But sulfur is the opposite when making sulfur particles, we need relative attention.
